For the folks that have arrived at VofA BC (Behind Crumb) here is the unabridged "Bill of Rights" (suggested right way to behave courteously) that we came up with because of his attempt to deny the rest of us participation by spamming the site. For that, he was eventually banned for a period of time. /span>/span>/span>/span>

1. Posting several articles at once dominates the marquee and pushs everybody else off. It also makes it harder to get full response from us to any particular article. Better to space them out rather than feast or famine. /span>/span>/span>/span>/span>/span>
/span>/span>/span>/span>/span>/span>
2. A 1 or 2 sentence article is usually better as a comment, and show a fair regard for the other members more lengthy works. /span>/span>/span>/span>/span>/span>
/span>/span>/span>/span>/span>/span>
3. A very long article takes a very long time to read and can be daunting. AZ Moderate, for instance, splits up his long articles into multipart series - a smart approach. /span>/span>/span>/span>/span>/span>
/span>/span>/span>/span>/span>/span>
4. An article that is merely a link to another site is either better off as a comment, or as was the case for Impeach Bush's links to the Jim Pederson reelection site, simply SPAM. Same is true for Viagra ads. /span>/span>/span>/span>/span>/span>
/span>/span>/span>/span>/span>/span>
5. Cut and paste articles can occasionally be educational and welcome if on topic, especially if embellished with a little commentary or explanation. /span>/span>/span>/span>/span>/span>
/span>/span>/span>/span>/span>/span>
6. The sources for anything you did not write yourself should be clearly cited. If I want the NYTs or Wikipaedia, I'll go there directly. /span>/span>/span>/span>/span>/span>
/span>/span>/span>/span>/span>/span>
7. Directly attacking another VofAZ member is generally uncool, although sometimes unavoidable or irresistable. In most cases, calling someone online a dick, a******, dumbass, or f***tard reflects more poorly on you than on him or her (although again, occasionally this is unavoidable or irresistable). Most of the time, as soon as someone tells me how much of a liberal retard I am, I know that I won the argument. It's good to remember that your arch enemy for a given topic may be your staunchess ally on the next article. We came here to exchange ideas, improve our writing or debate skills, get an occasional laugh, and see what's going on. No one likes to be shot down all the time (except AA - he lives for it). /span>/span>/span>/span>/span>/span>

Testimonials and suggestions from the attached comment string:
Can i propose an 8th? "We each are entitled to our own opinions, however we are not entitled to ignore the facts. And anyone who denies facts or the truth shall be deemed a liar, or a deciever and shall admit they were wrong or be considered to be a minion of Satan, the Great Deciever."

AzMod, I third the appointment of this liberal "moronincharge" to be the keeper of the "Right", for though we disagree on many issues, I have come to see him as a man of virtue, and however long and far between those people are now days to find, I know him to be a good, decent and honorable man.
Average American
I don't think Phadreus' proposal should be an amendment, but I do think he raises a good point. It is not one that could be enforced or be a reason to crum someone.

Damn, I was only gone a couple of weeks and I return to find The Bill Of Rights. The kids on this site have been busy. HEH
….
Hope you all are sharpening your pens (fingers) for the war. This one is going to be doozy.
Next time I come back maybe the people here will have rewritten the Constitution not of voa but U.S.
….
But what do I know I'm just Know it All...sorry AA
Know it All
How is it that Mr. Average American so often twists the comment thread for an article to address his pet peeve, which has absolutely nothing to do with the subject covered in the article????
….
This time he did it just four comments in. What the heck has the economy got to do with MoronInCharge’s Voice of America Bill-of-Rights? It seems like this usurps discussion of a legitimate topic presented in a well written article to address those topics he wants to wax single-mindedly dogmatic on!
Season of Reason
As you can see for yourself from the sample of comments, there was broad support for this step because of the abuse of the privileges that the owners of Voice of Arizona afford all of us. /span>/span>/span>/span>/span>/span>

The Bill was never a formal document, nor was it adopted by VofA. It was a simply a consensus that things had gotten out of hand and needed to be corrected to keep the site from going down. /span>/span>/span>/span>/span>/span>

Digg It!

It might have been good had VofA adopted some form of the Bill and required it to be read by participants. /span>

Know it All could have used the guidance before he started his decent into the gutter. But … /span>
/span>
Oh look. He did read it, as attested to by his comment. I guess it simply did not sink in or else he is becoming senile. /span>
/span>
Whatever./span>
/span>
The site has deteriorated once again, even to the extent that one has to wonder if there is a coordinated attempt to hamstring the site. /span>
