The arrogance and ignorance of the certifiable lunatics running this country just went from bad to awful.
On ABC's This Week Sunday program today, Bush told George Stephanopoulos "We’ve never been stay the course, George!"
The transcipt:
STEPHANOPOULOS: James Baker says that he’s looking for something between “cut and run” and “stay the course.”
BUSH: Well, hey, listen, we’ve never been “stay the course,” George. We have been — we will complete the mission, we will do our job, and help achieve the goal, but we’re constantly adjusting to tactics. Constantly.
The mantra for the Iraq war has been Stay the Course! To wit:This is an example of the pattern of lies and deceit that emanates from the Bush administration. Remember when Rumsfeld told the senate committee that he had never painted a rosy scenerio for Iraq, and bloggers found numerous quotes that showed he had done just that?BUSH: We will stay the course. [8/30/06]
BUSH: We will stay the course, we will complete the job in Iraq. [8/4/05]
BUSH: We will stay the course until the job is done, Steve. And the temptation is to try to get the President or somebody to put a timetable on the definition of getting the job done. We’re just going to stay the course. [12/15/03]
BUSH: And my message today to those in Iraq is: We’ll stay the course. [4/13/04]
BUSH: And that’s why we’re going to stay the course in Iraq. And that’s why when we say something in Iraq, we’re going to do it. [4/16/04]
BUSH: And so we’ve got tough action in Iraq. But we will stay the course. [4/5/04]
And Dick Cheney is a pathological liar.
These are our leaders. These are supposed the be the people who are leading us in the Global War on Terror. They are the policy-makers for our war in Iraq. And they lie and lie to the American people. Worse yet, their lies are getting our soldiers killed and innocent Iraqi's killed.
When Bill Clinton wagged his finger and lied about "having sex with that woman" I was disgusted, and it played a part in my decision to vote for GWB in 2000. It is a vote that I regret more than any in my life.
But as the saying goes, "When Clinton lied, no one died."
When will the Republican/conservatives uphold their mantra of "responsiblity" when it comes to their leadership?
On yesterday's VofAz radio show, there was a discussion about the Marriage Act. The proponent of the Act was telling a story about an elderly woman who couldn't re-marry because she would lose her late husband's pension benefit.
AA asked why she didn't plan better for her retirement; that the decisions she made early in life were her problem. It was heartless but not surprising.
Why don't the Bush supporters require the same accountability from the President and his administration. Their decision's affect millions of people, including their very lives. The least we should be able to demand and receive is the TRUTH.

Digg It!

Our country is now a liarocracy! And things are going well in Iraq, for Dick Cheney. Is he making Millions? or billions? Will we ever know. And an idea on the neo-con liars and not having a plan . . . The plan is no-plan. They don't care about the iraqi people, freedom or democracy (they can all kill each other endlessly and then the neos don't have to do it). Chaos in Iraq is fine as long as the neos can control the region and Iraqs oil. And also it doesn't matter how many Americans die or how much it cost the tax payer. It is a fine plan! For FASCIST!
