I can see it now. The cameras will be rolling as Obama flies overhead in a helicopter giving us his analysis of the situation; telling us its Bush's fault and how the republicans have a convention now.

So lets add it up:

• On cable news, Keith Olbermann gets 1 hour a day, for the progressive side of the news.

VS the Rightwingers of

• 24 hours of Fox Opinions
• Glenn Becks 1 hour on Headline News
• On MSNBC, Scarborough does what? 3 hours a morning? and Matthews has 1 hour.

Then the networks...

• Brian Williams, (Newt Gingrich's former Chief of staff) has the NBC nightly news, and ABC is Fox lite

That leaves the elf chick at CBS, and what hard hitting piece are they doing? another "dangers of nail salons" or a ground breaking piece on the effect of Legally Blonde on society?

So KO 1 hour vs 28 or more for the Rightwingers.

But of course, if even one voice is screaming "the emperor has no clothes!" it can undo all the lies, smoke and mirrors of the rest of the propaganda.

So, even against his holiness Bill O, the one who loves them Falafels, KO is gaining. Add in that KO is head to head with the Daily Show and The Colbert report (which I watch 3 or 4 nites a week, like many other younger liberals) and you can see the trend.

Also, inside the numbers, and Bill O the Falafel lover's audience is like what, average age above 65? Vs KO's average viewer more like 45. If McBush does win, and can dismantle Social Security and Medicare, 90% of Bill O's audience will be homeless or dead within a few months.

Thats a lovely graph FudDruss but upon inspection I notice the dates are rather curious. Which year and time peiod was this from?

Since you won't provide links I was able to find that graph was from May 16 2008. Now the dates along the bottom range from November thru May. Without any context as to who was actually hosting each show and what the show was about this graph is basically.......useless.

Now heres something a little more current for you to ponder........from August 6th 2008

Remember those stories in June about how Olbermann was "beating" O'Reilly. TVN and the usual left-wing flacks trumpeted the news, the blue blogs rejoiced, Keith cancelled his vacation plans and the mainstream press ran yet another series of celebratory articles on the incipient rise of Keith Olbermann. But a funny thing happened along the way. Just don't expect to hear much about it from these same sources.

When not getting a boost from media and blog hype for his oh-so-special comments, Keith's ratings have been tanking and last night Keith took a particularly bad drubbing at the hands of his nemesis, Bill O'Reilly. BOR doubled KOs numbers in the demo and more than tripled his number in total viewers.

As noted in the comments, for those scoring at home, Countdown managed to lose half its audience in one night - over 600,000 viewers. The drop is so steep that it bears some explanation from someone.

Funny thing, I dont even watch O'Reilly but it seems the libs, Olbermann, Roades etal are obsessed. But I guess if I worked for a failed format I would be deperessed too!
