Normally I'm very busy around the holiday's and this year even more so as my baby brother has been in ICU for a week and was finally moved to a regular room yesterday. If you haven't already received a flu shot, please get one as his hospitalization was due to influenza. Following is a link to the CDC in case you have any questions about the flu, or don't know where to go to get an injection. http://www.cdc.gov

The good news is I'm finally beginning to feel better after the car accident and intend to get back to non-stop writing as soon as the holiday's have passed. In the interim I may write a few short posts, but won't be able to respond to comments.

What I'm wondering is what has happened to the discussion board? Is everyone on vacation, has everyone lost interest or has everyone taken postman's advice and is out spending? The other possibility is people are boycotting the site because they're upset over something they have no control over. I certainly hope that's not the case because I would hate to see this site closed and I can't imagine the owners keeping it open if writers are not participating.

Yesterday I watched President Bush put on his happy face and was wondering what evil thoughts he was having - it appears the smiles may have been due to the anticipated arrest of my Governor Blagojevich. The Feds arrested him this morning. He'll have a difficult time nominating a replacement for President-elect Obama's senate seat while he's sitting in a jail cell. He has been a thorn in Bush's side the minute he started buying foreign drugs for the elderly in Illinois. I can't believe they actually "arrested" him. I, for one, will celebrate for an entire month, once this administration is out of office.

Until another day... I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and wish all a happy Hanukkah, Christmas and/or Kwanzaa as well as a safe, healthy and happy New Year.
