My Saturday:

What did I do on Saturday? Did I go out and have some fun; not unless you considered going to a funeral having fun. I got into my car about 1100AM and headed northwest to Lake Havasu City.

Lake Havasu City has just suffered their first casualty and the last I hope, in the Iraq war. His name was Patrick Allan Tinnell and he was killed by a suicide bomber. A concept that I don’t understand because of how I feel about life itself.

You can’t comprehend what war is until a member of your community come home in a flag draped coffin and then reality sets in. To die for the wrong cause is a waste of human life.

I am sorry for his mother and how we get the heck out of there before too many others die.

P.S. - as I was typing this article that Bullhead City has suffered their first casualty and all I can think: when will this nightmare end.
