Hey-o,

So in the Boston Globe, via DailyKos, I read that our Glorious leader Bush has unilaterally decided to ignore 750 laws! You can over there to read which ones.

But I find it delicious that a Republican has chosen to abandon our Constitution to centralize his own powers. Among the laws he has discarded military rules on POW's and torture, freedom of information, affirmative action, and a law opening up Presidential records from past administrations (after 12 years since they leave office).

Now truth seekers take heart! After finding an old parliamentary rule regarding impeachment, its been found that a state legislature may file impeachment charges, and that then the US House must immediately cease all other work and take up the impeachment charges, with full subpoena powers! There are some who will view this as an opportunity to test some of the US Attorney General's newly approved torture rules on top White House Officials, Cabinet members, and others but I say NAY. We should not use torture, even in defense of our Constitution.

An aside, did anyone else catch Coppersmith's op-ed piece on Sunday in the Mesa Trib? 96-97 Clinton arrested 10,000 to 18,000 immigrants at job sites, and fined 1000 employers a year. In 2004 King George arrested 159 immigrants at job sites, and fined 3 employers. So who was doing a better job of defending our borders?
