Essentially, the point of the above article is that the Ohio elections were stolen and proof may available. It is entirely possible that John Kerry should be the President.
The above article got me to a-thinkin'.
What if it is proven that Bush/Cheney were elected through fraud and it was proven beyond any doubt?
Would it matter if the fraud couldn't be linked to actions of Bush/Cheney themselves?
No matter how they got there, they would be illegitimate holders of the offices of President and VP.
Is that a coup or sorts?
Would Bush/Cheney be forced out of office? If so, by whom?
Who would replace them? Kerry/Edwards?
Is there a constitutional line of succession in a case like that?
If so, it would go to Pelosi. Would she put Kerry in as VP (after approval by the Senate) and then immediately resign to give Kerry his rightful place?
Or is the whole point moot because the members of the Electoral College voted for Bush/Cheney and that is final?
Would the outrage of the country be different with a VP with approval ratings in the 20% range, and President in the 30% range then if a President was in the 55-60% approval range?
I know, I know.......the chances of this happening are slim to none. But it is an interesting exercise. I also realize that someone who is a lot smarter than me have an answer that makes the exercise kaput in a hurry.
What do you all think?
If fraud, then what?

Did you see Ron Paul in the Bill Maher Show? Looked like a frickin' moron. If it is proven that Bush and Cheney stole the election. Pelosi would ascend to the presidency. The question is HOW????? Think those 2 are gonna step down voluntarily? What? An "OOPS our bad?" moment.

| Who says Bush would relinquish the throne? Even after 2008. But seriously, it would go to Pelosi if both Chuckle Nuts and Darth Cheney were impeached together. Then Pelosi could name anyone as her VP who then need to be confirmed; strong candidates would be elder statesmen and former cabinet members (or women) like Secy. Bob Rubin, Gen. Wes Clark, Sen. Evan Bayh, Gov. Mark Warner, or Gov and Secy Bruce Babbit, no one jockeying for the White House now, and all capable, competent managers with the gravitas to preside in the Senate and not look like a boob.

Phaed, How could you impeach Bush/Cheney if it was not proven they had anything to do with the fraud?

Some seem to think the Electoral College was put in place because at least some of the founding fathers did not completely trust the common man to not be swayed by demagogues and the “Man on a White Horse”. The Electoral College was is “fail safe mechanism” to protect the common man from himself if need be. As such, I think it is sacrosanct. Once the ballots have been cast by this elite group, case closed. Period. But Idoughknow. Got that somewhere along the line in school.

But AZ MOD What if the elector's cast their ballots based on false popular vote? For example, say, it looked like Bush/Cheney won Ohio. But later it was proven that they didn't because of popular vote fraud. Does that change anything? I am getting a bit frustrated that folks aren't seeing the real issue here.......GOD DAMMIT! IF IT WAS PROVEN THAT BUSH/CHENEY WON THE FRICKIN' 2004 ELECTION BY FRAUD, WHAT HAPPENS????????????????? The article is not about the assets of Ron Paul, or Pelosi and her Cabinet or the value or non-value of the Electoral college. Or I guess it is now. <sigh>
