I go to this place every week that has a slew of optimistic sayings, poems and pictures on the wall. I read them all, but this is the one that grabbed me . . . kinda chocked me up and punched me in the gut . . . this is the one that I put a copy of on my refrigerator . . . It goes                                                                                                                                                                 "Someday, the light will shine like the sun through your skin . . . And                              they will say, "what have  done  with your life?" Although there are many moments, I think I will remember in the end.    I will be proud to say,                                                     "I WAS ONE OF US"                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           To all the young men and women who have died over the centuries in the service of our country. To the people who have died in the 9-11 attacks. And especially now the people who have died or been wounded in Afghanistan or Iraq.  . . .  " YOU WERE ONE OF US"  . . . "YOU ARE STILL ONE OF US"
