The future waits for no one, not a moment in time sits idle,

Though life might speed up then slow down at times,

The seconds continue in line.

I wonder what waits for you there, that moment you when I am not here,

The days will be dark as you search out your heart,

But for me the walk be though.

But if in those times you remember me foundly, I will be there by your side,

Walking along sharing your joys and your tears,

Rejoicing in all of our years.

No the future waits for no one, not a moment in time sits idle,

So while we are here we should treat it as special,

And live for the time we still have.

In the future I will see who you've become, and brag to those I know,

That if in only some small way I was there on that day,

When you surpassed me in every way.

For my future too is unfolding, proud of me I still hope you will be,

Remember I did what I thought was the best,

Only for you and not for the rest.

So should we be parted to soon, remember me with laughs and with smiles,

I gave it my all for you two to grow strong,

So you'd carry me for a few extra miles.

I know in your hearts I will be, for you've repeated told me I'll be,

But when the right one comes by and looks in your eyes,

Don't fear losing me,

I'll always be near.
