| Those are three examples of brainless black people out of 300 million people in the US with the right to vote. Perhaps we should resist the urge to extrapolate the results of Howard Stern's man-on-the-street survey to the population at large. I doubt it was performed without bias, since Howard Stern is neither a pollster or a statistician. The fact is that black or white, Republican or Democrat, idiots in this country abound. Last I heard, McCain's strongest constituency is the non-college educated white block. On election day the uninformed idiot vote from both sides of the political spectrum tend to cancel each other out. Are most black people going to vote for Obama? Sure. Are most white dudes from the deep south going to vote for McCain? Damn right. Last time I checked, there were more white people in America, and quite a few of them wouldn't trust a black man as President no matter what he says or does. |

I knew exactly how you would reply, I also figured the other nuts on this site wouldn't reply. The fact is there aren't 300 million blacks in the U.S, nor do we know that there were only three that replied in the same way. If I were betting man I would guess about 2/3 of blacks would answer the same as the three recorded. From what I recall over 50 % of the whites in this country would vote for Obama and under 1% of blacks are for McCain. This will be the most racist event in American history. It is a shame that so many will be voting for a color and not the right man for the job. You are right about some whites will never vote for a black man but I am right that 99.8 % of blacks will not vote for the white man. How does it feel to be lumped in with the most racist group of people in the country? To be honest with you I wouldn't vote for Obama if were white, yellow red or green. I believe he is a racist who hates our country and is possibly working with the Ladens of the world. If I could have one wish it would be that that whites in this country vote in the same racial way as the blacks. Then the right guy would win, McCain. YOU NEVER KNOW! HEH |

I believe that as a percentage of their racial group, black people are probably just as ignorant as white people. No way to check this hunch conclusively, but if you take a swing through southern Ohio and West Virginia, you might find enough "learned" political opinions from good ol' white folk for a year's worth of Howard Stern shows. You are correct that a higher percentage of white people will vote for Obama than blacks for McCain. But there are several reasons for this that have nothing to do with bigotry. If Lieberman were running, you would likely find a huge number of Jews voting for him, simply because ethnic and religious minorities tend to vote for their own. That's not racism, it's cultural identity. It's rooting for the under-dog home team. A black person actually having the chance to vote for another black person is a novelty and an opportunity too good to pass up. Who knows if this opportunity will ever happen again if our lifetimes? On the other hand, white people have been voting for white male Presidents for 230 years. Most rational white people do not seriously believe that voting for a black man this time around will seriously jeopardize the prospects of white men becoming POTUS in the future. They can afford to put their bet on black in 2008, especially when that bet looks so much better than the risky gamble on white this year. In the end, people vote for the person who they think will have their own best interests in mind. If they are low-info voters, they might be easily fooled, but they are still going to look at the candidates and make their decision based on their perception. Do you honestly believe that the average black person would look at Obama and McCain, and decide that the pasty white man with 8 houses and 13 cars understands them better? And if they know just a little about John McCain, his voting record, his proposals, and his idiot running mate with her ideas about what is real America, what in the world could the Republican ticket offer any black person (other than Clarence Thomas)? But even if the election were decided on the Caucasian vote, this election would be close. That's because McCain is such an awful candidate. Alas -- to the chagrin of racists across this great country -- the black people who live here are Americans, and their vote counts as much as yours and mine. |

View this Comment Figures - no one here has ever accused you of being open-minded, progressive or, for that matter, rational, kiA! I do agree with one point, though - it's a losing proposition when a candidate can't stack up to a voter's self-interest.That's a guaranteed truth if the voter is a white supremacist and the candidate is Barack Obama, right? I mean, Obama can change his position on an issue but not the color of the skin he was born in, right?Helluva way to elect a 21st Century president, I'd say! |

Digg It!

Now I can understand that maybe some may not be up on certain policies, but these were basic policy questions and the most egregious of all is that these people thought that Sarah Palin was Obama's running mate and complimentary of her.
Proves the point that most in the black community are voting for Obama only because he is BLACK!
