Maybe you’ve heard: Scott McClellan has written a book, “What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington's Culture of Deception”.  <Link here.   

     

A suggestive title, don’t you think?  A thread that runs through the accounts of the book and that Scott himself stressed more than once in his interview with Keith Olbermann today is that the Bu$hites have their regime stuck in campaign mode and have never shifted into governing mode. 

       

And this drives them yet today.  The war drums are thumping once again. 

  

“Mr McClellan argues that the decision to invade Iraq was a ‘serious strategic blunder’. But it was a blunder that was sold to the American public by a relentless propaganda campaign to hype the threat from Saddam and smear critics. Mr McClellan admits that many of the things he said at his press briefings turned out to be ‘badly misguided’. He says that matters of state were subordinated to the day-to-day requirements of the ‘permanent campaign’”.

Reminds me of a bet from my past.  This wild fellow bet one of my buddies that he could drive his car in first gear all the way from our hometown to the county seat.  He won the bet but he smoked his engine and destroyed his transmission. 

        

These imbiciles in this Bu$hite regime are winning the bet while they burn our country up.  There is a difference between running a campaign to get elected, and governing once elected.  These wild fellows know that, but chose to smoke our country to win the bet. 

 

“Mr McClellan also makes two explosive claims. The first is that Mr Bush's real motive for going to war was never WMD. It was his desire to transform the Middle East and ensure an enduring peace in the region. The gap between the real and stated reasons for going to war forced the White House to engage in a constant campaign of shading the truth. The second is that ‘Scooter’ Libby and Mr Rove held a secret meeting at the time when federal prosecutors were investigating them both over the leak of the name of Ms Plame, a CIA agent. Mr Libby was convicted; Mr Rove has never been charged with anything.” Ibid

            

Scott McClellan is to be lauded for speaking his concience, albeit belatedly, as a patriotic American who's duty is to American over his party affiliations.     

    

    

     

Impeach this SOB occupying our White House before he starts another unconcionable invasion.
