ter·ror·ism    (těr'ə-rĭz'əm)
n.   The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons.

I posted the definition of "terrorism" from the "American Heritage Dictionary".

I have noticed, and it is very unsettling to me that airports can be evacuated over a lost video game cartriage or a news organization be evacuated over ground asprin.  We make a big news story over and elderly passenger of an airplane who had ruptured cold packs in her luggage and purposefully "embellish the story" to promote fear of a terrorist attack.  We equate a processed cheese block and a cell phone charger in luggage as "a dry run by terrorists" with "block cheese with wires attached to them".

I ask the question...Have the terrorists won?  Have we really given over to fear?  Have we changed our way of life, given over our freedoms and privacy to a very few people to be safe?  If we see monsters around every corner, and evil at every intersection when will be began to turn on each other.

I have to say that as far as the definition of terrorism given above is concerned, the al Qui'da types have won.  We haven't so much as put up a fist to resist.  Then too, the definition does not say that the terrorist has to be Muslim, or a sworn enemy either.

I ask you to think.  "Your enemy can do you no harm, because you know where he's coming from.  Don't let the handshake and the smile fool you.  Take my advice I am only trying to school you" (lyrics from the song "Smiling Faces" written by Barret Strong, Released 1971, artists Undisputed Truth")

God help us.
