I've said the same things here only to be called racist. But these are the views that are rational and the Libs just absolutely don't get it at all. The problem with any comebacks here is they will be accusing Andy of being senile or the Alzheimer's gene having kicked in. But the fact of the matter is, a lot of people are sick of all the things going on and he is saying they need to stop.

The Libs ideas of truth and justice, for the most part, are eternally flawed.

He didn't mention frivolous lawsuits, laws to keep you from stubbing your toe, laws to keep you from gaining weight, laws to relieve you of your own personal responsibilty, laws to cover every ill known to man so every person, especially Libs, will never have to endure anything bad.

I have to go take a load of pet food to Sheriff Joe's Mash Rescue Unit on Madison. Adios politically correct perfect people.

When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in cities where 70% of the population is black, that is not racial profiling, it is the Law of Probability.

I believe that if you are selling me a milkshake, a pack of cigarettes, a newspaper or a hotel room, you must do it in English! As a matter of fact, if you want to be an American citizen, you should have to speak English!

My father and grandfather didn't die in vain so you can leave the countries you were born in to come over and disrespect ours.

I think the police should have every right to shoot your sorry ass if you threaten them after they tell you to stop. If you can't understand the word "freeze" or "stop" in English, see the above lines.

I don't think just because you were not born in this country, you are qualified for any special loan programs, government sponsored bank loans or tax breaks, etc., so you can open a hotel, coffee shop, trinket store, or any other business.

We did not go to the aid of certain foreign countries and risk our lives in wars to defend their freedoms, so that decades later they could come over here and tell us our constitution is a living document; and open to their interpretations.

I don't hate the rich I don't pity the poor.

I know pro wrestling is fake, but so are movies and television. That doesn't stop you from watching them.

I think Bill Gates has every right to keep every penny he made and continue to make more. If it ticks you off, go and invent the next operating system that's better, and put your name on the building.

It doesn't take a whole village to raise a child right, but it does take a parent to stand up to the kid; and smack their little behinds when necessary, and say "NO!"

I think tattoos and piercing are fine if you want them, but please don't pretend they are a political statement. And, please, stay home until that new lip ring heals. I don't want to look at your ugly infected mouth as you serve me French fries!

I am sick of "Political Correctness." I know a lot of black people, and not a single one of them was born in Africa; so how can they be "African-Americans"? Besides, Africa is a continent. I don't go around saying I am a European-American because my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather was from Europe. I am proud to be from America and nowhere else

I was asked to send this on if I agree or delete if I don't. It is said that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore I have a very hard time understanding why there is such a problem in having "In God We Trust" on our money and having "God" in the Pledge of Allegiance. Why don't we just tell the 14% to Shut Up and BE QUIET!!!

How come I always forget something? Think I will leave it on edit for a while until I get it down pat.
Here are more problems I have with the LIB philosophy. Seems the Libs here seem to think you have to go all the way down the line, the straight and narrow, in every way or else you are not a conservative or Lib, you can't be both, or you are straddling the fence. I maintain that is bogus.
Why can't a person be fiscally conservative(everyone should be), while at the same time believing that gay people have rights? To me it is not all or nothing, it can be separated.
Why can't a person believe that people have certain rights under the Constitution but not unlimited? Shouldn't a person have an obligation to adhere to basic loyalty to the land they are fortunate enough to live in?
Illegal immigration for example: So many people out there believe this Country is not even worthy of it's own sovereignty, that other people can come here illegally, tell us what to do under the guise of their humanity issues, employers hire them, exploit them, and then employers demand they be protected from intruders and break ins on their property.
Illegal immigration brings up so much hypocrisy in action and words. Right now a friend is in Mexico. She had to buy a little place that the Mexican government fixed up but because a big balloon payment came due she couldn't handle it. She is now there waiting for her MT3 card from down there to be "legal" so she can leave Mexico.
Why can't people separate issues on their merits of humanity and fairness instead of claiming that you have to follow them all, as laid out so far, to be one or the other? I definitely believe anyone who follows Conservatism in every way as preached so far is cheating themselves.
One issue can definitely be agreed upon more so than others. I believe in workers rights, a decent living wage, and I don't believe everything has to be split apart like so many do. God should be on our money. Plain and simple. Libs just seem to want constant turmoil and nothing is ever settled.
There is nothing conflicting about what I say. If you want to be a robot, be the standard consevative or Liberal then go along with the book obviously written for you with no exceptions. If you want to decide something on fairness and equality think about the overall impact on our Country, then take each issue one at a time.
I think it is ridiculous for anyone to assume that they have the monopoly on anything. But that seems to be the fractured, disjointed, constant spitting out of that kind of rhetoric here.

Well, allow me to digress--- When 50% of drug users are Black or Mexican, yet 95% of people in jail for drug offenses are Black or Mexican that seems to be a sign of a bias in police work, and prosecution.

Way to go June. What does my strawman of anything have to do with anything? The deal here is what Andy Rooney said and nothing else.

I like his style. Kinda silly but he tells it like it is.
I just happen to agree with a lot of what he says and that doesn't make me a straw, clover, or alfalfa anything. Too many people get a free pass when they spit all over our Country and I am tired of it myself also.

Too many people deliberately violate the laws of our Country and then when they get caught, all they want is all the protections and rights they can get out of us when all they are saying in the first place is "screw this Country. We'll do what we want".

I don't see how that makes for any kind of patriotic model citizen at all.

His points about how some people get away with crap that if a White person attempted in any way we would be branded bigoted to the Nth degree. Hardly a model concept of rationale for justice for anybody except fake justice for the accuser.

People just can't separate mindless, unfair racism charges from the actual hard core act which is deliberate and pervasive and persistent.

I can't say that enough times but it doesn't register.

Here is the way I read your attitude;

"Since blacks aren't getting lynched anymore, there is no racism in America today."

My view is this

"Since I can see an abundance of disparity in outcome of wealth between Whites, Blacks, and Mexicans there must be a reason for this difference. Now having known, attended school with and worked with many minorities I can eleiminate inferior intelligence, work ethic, or wisdom for the difference in how we get where we are. What's left? Hmmmm... Could it be a racism? Whether blatant as lynchings, or subtle like the city of Phoenix having more than a dozens school distrricts, each drawn up to keep black kids away from white kids. Or the human resources manager who gives jobs and promotions to whites over minorities or to minorities who are less qualified than other minorities; or who offers more training to white employees to give them a leg up on the next promotion."

I am really tired of being pigeon-holed by you, especially when you think we have all done the same to you. I have been very consistent on this: you are not conservative; you are not liberal; you are not in between; but you are one confused puppy. Maybe if had the ability to express yourself like Andy Rooney, we could at least start to have a worthwhile debate with you.

Let me comment on a few of these statements:

Do you have any problem with this? Forget about the weird and ticked off part. You are left with: It's O.K. to be intolerant of someone who is different. What does that mean? A jew is different. A black man is different. An arab is different. This statement is nothing more than a nicely wrapped excuse to hate anybody not like you. Do you honestly think that is O.K.? Is that admirable? Will you teach your children that? No, Andy is not senile . . . he is full of s**t.

Do you remember reading a few weeks back my DEFENSE of English as our official language? Yes, not exactly in lock step with everybody else here, remarkably enough. I am an independent thinker, and I dislike it when someone who is a disorganized thinker thinks otherwise. But I will reiterate my position that English should be our official language just like the Stars and Stripes is our official flag and the Buckeye is Ohio's official State tree. I think that everybody should want to learn English to fully integrate in our society, since a common language is a strong binding force. But I would never legislate mandatory English, period. Andy's wrong on this one too. I'll sell him a newspaper in Swahili if I want.

Turns out this was an urban legend. After talking to Andy myself this morning(facetious),turns out he denied it vigorously
It was on his archives. Never trust your stinking E-mail.

Oh well. Still agree with the thrust of it all that if you are going to be an American, be an American.

If you succeed, good for you. If you can't or won't because you are lazy and believe you should be given everything because everyone should feel sorry for you because of your race then live somewhere else.

If you believe that race can be a serious problem if it is pervasive, ongoing and obviously at the root of some problems then that is acceptable and right. What is not acceptable is keeping racism alive and at the forefront of all the problems as if nothing else could possibly be the real issue.
That is the way you have a UNited America and to not automatically believe that someone is persecuting you.

Like he said about the BOY SCOUTS. It is the BOY SCOUTS. Nothing else. Why would people want to belong to a club not meant for them? I'm not in the club here and that is whoopee, whoopee. I just like to watch people fawn all over themselves as if their viewpoints are a gift from God.

If you believe that other Countries should not walk all over America then America is the place for you.

If you believe, like Libs, that everything can be peaches and cream for all people at all times, then you are a bonafide LIB all the way.

If you are so wrapped up in 60's drug induced liberalism that saying the Pledge of Allegiance as a simple basic gesture of love for your Country is a horrendous assault on religious freedom then again, when will it end?

Some people challenge rules and regulations, not because they really believe there is merit to their cause, but because they want to make waves.

I've never known anyone that was traumatized for life because they were disciplined in school, because they didn't get picked for little league, because they failed a test, and all sorts of other things that the liberal crowd thinks is detrimental to a person's growing up.

I say a lot of things facetious, like on my one post
where I was talking about being out of the box, where I repeated what Mike said that my time was valuable, and the different names to INDIE.

Now they did a study(yes another one), and they found out that a lot of people can't grasp facetiousness because that part of their brain is defective. Now if that is true, how can anyone like that give me a piece of their mind?

Another thing about facetiousness is I can spot it easily if I value the person. Otherwise I can't. Vice versa is true also.

LIBS seem to make a mountain out of the tiniest little molehill.
I guess this is not the first urban legend that has went around and certainly won't be the last.

No, those views are realistic. You Libs perceive them as cruel because you want to satisfy the whole world, but you don't want to take any stand at all. Just leave everything open to a new interpretation because, after all, you just don't want to offend any of the people in this world now do you regardless of what it does to the fabric of our society?

Wait! Yes, you do. Anyone who has conservative leanings and doesn't go right now the middle of the LIB commandments must be straddling the fence.
I haven't a clue why LIBS can't separate one issue from another at any given time. It's always a liberal mindset.

Are you going to vote for Hillary? They say she has a good outreach program under Bill. Who knows, Hillary might get a trillion dollar surplus out of Bill's fans from an economy that ain't there.
