George Dubai Bush has been hard at work destroying international confidence in the commitment of the United States to the rule of international law. This has been a major task for him, and he has advanced the cause with stonewall stubborn determination. And, unfortunately, with a great deal of success.
But don’t let it be said that Dubya can’t walk and chew gum at the same time. He can! Take a step; chew; take a step; chew;… He is a modern day multi-tasker. Yessiree.
Another objective for him is to undermine the Constitution of the United States. He has tasked Attorney General Alberto Gonzales with responsibility to destroy domestic confidence in the commitment of the United States to the rule of Constitutional law. The termites of the Bus***e regime have tunneled around the foundation of our republic, the Constitution, to destabilize the government and bring it down.
The infamous torture memos authored by Gonzales while serving as Bush’s Special Counsel to the White House was the first termite to stick its ugly head up in public. But this was just the tip of the termite colony.
This latest flap over the firing of selected U.S. attorneys that refused to be manipulated for political purposes is but the latest Bus***e termite to stick its head out of a government riddled throughout by special interests tunnels to power and blatant cronyism.
This nest of anti-American hypocrites has made a spoils system out of our federal government along the lines that are legendary in local and state politics in the Deep South. Figuratively speaking, Gonzales is but one of the fat bellied sheriffs appointed by the winner of the last election as payoff for his loyalty.
That would make the crony replacements for the fired federal attorneys the sheriff’s deputys. That sure doesn’t do much to reinforce my confidence in the commitment, or ability, of these appointees to uphold our Constitution and go after the bad guys in an impartial manner.
