Was it real or am I having a horrible nightmare? This really bad imitation of actor "John Wayne", president . . . Going for a photo opp jog with a young soldier who'd had his legs blown off in the war. A war this bad acting, Vietnam war dodging, cocaine sniffing, ex-alcoholic?, male cheer-leading, yale C student achieving, Conneticut cowboy FREAKSHOW lied us into!!! It must have been a dream or it might seem that this is this Morons way of ever so ever happily flipping off the 70 % of his employers (American Citizens) who disapprove of his total incompetency . . .

| Lame ducks got two more years to do as much damage as he can before he retires (hides) and leaves our once great democracy a damnocracy. Time to take the gloves off and throw a few bare knuckeled punches at him and his fellow lemmings! And if anyone is upset with the vulgar picture . . . It is not a picture of Prometheus! It is george dabya Bush giving the finger straight into the tv camera. I saw the clip on t.v. and have had to explain to my 6 year old, why our president was doing that . . . thanks George

| yeah but tell us how you really feel prometheus. Your new symbol there has got me all confused. I saw your comment and absent mindedly noted the symbol, thinking Double A was responding in agreement with your article. It blew me away until I woke up to the fact that is wasn't Double A's flag that I was seeing. Is that some stylized halo behind George's head? What the heck is that? Oh yeah, and I feel your pain. This has gone beyond ludicrous. |

| indie616, glad to see your still alive too. AZ MOD, the thing is it isn't double a's flag. Seems neo's are always wrapping themselves in it though . . . My flag too (and yours)! Someone on the internet tampered with the pic and put fireworks behind Mr. middle finger (just in time for the forth).

| The difference is that Prometheus'flag flies to the "left" and AA's flies to the "right." Did anyone else catch that? Good article Prometheus, I feel your anger. |

| "Good article"? Damn we've lowered standards around here. Anyway, I don't own the flag, you are correct, and mine waving to the right was just by chance, but seems somewhat symbolic now doesn't it? And Prometheus, really, to steal the name of VH1's Super group "damnocracy" and try to make it your own seems a little dishonest. But that's your way I know. You try to copy my flag, steal from someone without giving credit and then write this and call it an article. I guess you peaked early in life. On to your hatred, it's showing pretty clearly in this one. Hopefully someday you will grow enough to make a rational arguement for not supporting this president, but until then we will watch for these kind of childish remarks. |

| No hate here, More like pity, or disgust! I look at the president and just shake my head. I geuss A.A. means a picture of his Christian President flying his middle flag Lowers the standards around here . . . I agree. Funny how the party of hate and intolerance so quickly tries to hatetag everything liberal or progressive. How original, sounds like Fascist A.M. Talk radio again! And I have no anger either . . . just a cold objective "what the hell is going on with my country"

| "Reason occurs mostly through the medium of language, and so the destruction of reason requires the destruction of language." "A recent example is the word "hate". The civil rights movement had used the word "hate" to refer to terrorism and stereotyping against black people, and during the 1990's some in the press had identified as "Clinton-haters" people who had made vast numbers of bizarre claims that the Clintons had participated in murder and drug-dealing. Beginning around 2003, conservative rhetors took control of this word as well by labeling a variety of perfectly ordinary types of democratic opposition to George Bush as "hate". In addition, they have constructed a large number of messages of the form "liberals hate X" (e.g., X=America) and established within their media apparatus a sophistical pipeline of "facts" to support each one. This is also an example of the systematic breaking of associations. " Philip E. Agre "What is conservatism and What is wrong with it." It is most fascinating to watch the real world and compare it to Agre's article. It is truly like watching a theory being proved right before my eyes. |

| Hey Prom, I'd post this to something more directly about the media and the "treason of the NYTimes (but not the Wall Street Journal, who ran the same story on the same day) and the war, but I don't see any. From dailykos.com--- Nick Kristof responds to the right — again. "The fact is, journalists regularly hold back information for national security reasons; I recently withheld information at the request of the intelligence community about secret terrorist communications. More broadly, the one thing worse than a press that is "out of control" is one that is under control. Anybody who has lived in a Communist country knows that. Just consider what would happen if the news media as a whole were as docile to the administration as Fox News or The Wall Street Journal editorial page. When I was covering the war in Iraq, we reporters would sometimes tune to Fox News and watch, mystified, as it purported to describe how Iraqis loved Americans. Such coverage (backed by delusional Journal editorials baffling to anyone who was actually in Iraq) misled conservatives about Iraq from the beginning. In retrospect, the real victims of Fox News weren’t the liberals it attacked but the conservatives who believed it." So, Commissars JD Hayworth and Tony Snow want more control of the press, so they can continue to mislead the people on just how f@cked up Iraq is, how our liberties are being stolen (but look out for the UN one world government), how badly the War on Terror is going... ALSO, THE CIA HAS DISBANDED THE UNIT SPECIFICALLY IN CHARGE OF HUNTING FOR OSAMA BIN LADEN! So, I guess the war is over, and we quit... |

Digg It!
If I wasn't dreaming, what next? is our "Howdy Doody" president going to go on T.V. and pretend to not be able to find any weapons of mass destruction in his office? In the white house? Oh, that's right the clown already did that. He just keeps giving us the bird . . . And giving us the bird . . .

The picture backs up your article perfectly.
