Justice Through Music (“JTM”) and the band Op-Critical have just released a new music video called Exile as part of their campaign in opposition to the use of Torture and Extreme Rendition by the United States government.
“This video takes a very hard hitting look at these inhumane and barbaric practices and makes a statement that this type of conduct is wrong,” says JTM Director Brett Kimberlin. “We wanted to make an authentic video so we filmed it at an abandoned prison, and took hours of footage of me actually being subjected to real torture, including waterboarding, hanging from my wrists till I bled, and being hooded and handcuffed. I wanted to experience it unsanitized and in real time – it was terrifying, and I still have nightmares about it months later,” he added.
The video is on YouTube.

I can understand the motivation but I wouldn't do it. Domination of a person over another has been going on for longer than we can imagine. Mans need to subject his will on others is why we have a constitution instead of the rule of might.
To think that my country would do this and that people will still, today, justify it, is insane. We were at the penicle and could expect things like 9/11 those are the things that happen when your the top dog, everyone wants to take a shot at you. When you resort to torture as a fitting means to an end you put yourself on the same level as your detractors and are in essence are no better than they are.
We have fallen from grace and I don't know if we will ever regain our lofty standing in the world, thanks to the Bush group!
