Hello,
My name is Ernest Hancock and I am the Libertarian candidate for Secretary of State here in Arizona. During a guest appearance on the Voice of Arizona live radio program April 15th I agreed to answer any questions about,... anything :)
I'd like to focus on Elections, their accuracy (or lack thereof) and libertarianism in general since so few have had it explained by someone that knows what it means.

These 7 minute flash animations are very effective at explaining our philosophy in a fast, clear and enjoyable way.
So bring it on :)

| To AA, grow up and leave the politic to those who put their cards on the table. You are too afraid to put that much effort in. To Mr Hancocl, I wish you well and yes, it is time for Ms. Brewer to go. |

| Jan Brewer is not the problem. She is but a symptom of a much larger problem. To save time I’ll just cut right to it. The people that you see on ballots and in the news are just faces the bad guys put up to insulate them. You don’t think the really bad guys are going to all of this effort for a government salary do ‘ya? But there are plenty of people that are easily swayed and outright corruptible for a lot less than you think. Even more common is the useful idiot that will do whatever they are told,… ignorance is bliss for many. I’ve been at this freedom fighting thing on the good guys side long enough to be convinced that there is a long line of replacements for Jan that will do the job the bad guys want done just as well. No matter what, in the end the elections will take place using computers and there will not be a meaningful manual validation of an open source code. The laws have been crafted to prevent any validation of the computer’s accuracy for well over 15 years that I am personally aware of. Aside from the lack of confidence in the electoral process, the economy will eventually fail. As of just a few months ago the government no longer requires the reporting of M3 figures (Money Supply). This allows the issuing of unlimited funds (crank up the printing presses) to hold off the effects of the rest of the world not loaning us any more money to pay our debt. How long this will keep the Merry-Go-Round turning I do not know. But I am convinced more now than ever before that we are not going to spend our way out of what is coming, nor are we going to be able to vote our way out of it. Just as Carter suffered from the cost of the Viet Nam war, so will the Democrats suffer from an economy left to them in shambles. Are you sure you want to take the blame? Well, the D’s deserve as much of the blame as every other elected official. The list of important issues left undefended is long and I can not defend anyone that didn’t openly oppose this war, its continued spending and vile votes for the PATRIOT Act and other such legislation. I will not be the one calling for elections as a tool to combat what is happening to this country because I know better. I can not in good conscience advocate the participation in the validation of a system used to distract you from the truth,… you have lost control and are a slave (time to re-watch The Matrix). The next step is to loose your fear. Once you accept that the current machine can not continue without your active participation you’ll feel much more powerful (time to go see “V for Vendetta”). I am very active during political campaigns because it allows these opportunities to share my experiences. www.ernesthancock.com has access to radio archives that target hundreds of issues including Vote/Election Fraud. There are articles there that were written for local publications so they are usually no longer than 700 words on various subjects and you’ll find a daily update of the current news that I and my friends think are important at www.FreedomsPhoenix.com The first Saturday of the month we meet in Paradise Valley at the Arizona Breakfast Club that has been meeting for 37 years www.arizonabreakfastclub.org. This “conservative” organization has evolved into a group far more supportive of libertarian ideals and now shares many of your concerns (we are all starting to come to the same realization that we share a common enemy – Big Nasty Government, no matter who/what is in charge). www.FreedomSummit.com was started by my business partner Marc Victor and our wives to gather once a year with “The Great Minds of Modern Freedom” so that we and our friends could be updated on what is really happening by people that really know. The WesternLibertarianAlliance evolved as a gathering of the activists that didn’t wish to be bothered with the internal politics of political parties and only comes out to play during elections. [link:westernlibertarian.org] The reading of our timeless 2004 election newspaper (PDF available online) will give you a very good idea of what to expect this election. For those of you hoping to learn about libertarianism quickly, this 7 minute Flash Animation is just for you [link:www.isil.org] For those that want to understand where the libertarians came from, this 26 minute Oscar Winning 1980 film is available online at [link:www.westernlibertarian.org] (Bottom line - when the Republicans turned fascist in the early 70’s, freedom loving R’s and D’s supported the creation of the Libertarian Party) This is enough information to set your head spinning for quite some time. In the end you will realize as I do that in every election the government always wins. The solution is for each of us to become good neighbors, live up to our commitments, become independent, voluntarily help those in need and pass these traits onto our children. It might interest you that I am very optimistic. I have great faith in good people and I know that the good people far out number the bad, but we are to be chained into inaction with fear. Threats, real and imagined, manufactured and conjured up, will be coming at us from every angle possible and I encourage us all to have faith in each other’s desire to do the other no harm and to support each other in times of need without a new law or government mandate to do so. The “Police State” is coming if not already here. I have been of the opinion for many years that the sooner we get to a police state the sooner we can leave. “There are those that wish to be left alone and there are those that will not leave them alone, which are you?” The people that wish to be left alone are getting very adamant about it. I am of the opinion that peaceful means are the most effective. However a very wise man once said that “If you make peaceful Revolution impossible, you make violent Revolution inevitable”. JFK I often tell the story of Wayne Gretsky being asked about what made him such a great hockey player, “I don’t skate to where the puck is,… I skate to where I know the puck is going to be”. And I know that the puck will eventually be at the point where people will insist on being left alone by a very nasty government. I know that things are going to get worse, but I have prepared myself and my family emotionally for what is to come and I know we are going to be alright. I wish you the same peace and I want to help because it serves the interest of me and my family that you are not afraid. It is what the bad guys want,… can’t you tell? Good times are ahead, we just have to endure,… a Freedom’sPhoenix. Ernest Hancock A libertarian |

| Well AA, that him a hell of a lot smarter than and just a little known facts because you wouldn't dare a political life, you are afraid. You need to put your money in the ring and your time into the ring but then again: you are really the un-Americans and anything but average. Mr Hancock, I well you again to the concern citizen who will get out there and do something. P.S. - You are right on your answer except for one twist: their attitude is wrong for most Americans. P.S.S. - Where the debate, AA or don't you know anyone. |

| William, If I understand your concerns correctly, you don’t believe that libertarian philosophy represents the view of the majority. At first glance, I don’t know a single libertarian that would disagree with that statement. But many of us would argue that with even a little education and discussion that would change. The bad guys know this as well and are determined to keep this philosophy from the public debate by excluding libertarians at every opportunity. However, the Internet has allowed us to bypass these controls and whatever is planned for America must be implemented as quickly as possible before too many people are exposed to the truth of things. Can’t you feel it? One of my favorite lines from the second Matrix movie was when Morpheus’ military superior said, “Not everyone believes what you believe!” Morpheus responded, “My beliefs do not require that they believe what I do.” If libertarians required large numbers of people to support us emotionally, financially, philosophically or any other way then there would be none of us. What encourages us is the belief that libertarian principles provide the only moral method to attempt any sort of government. Individual morality is not a matter for a collective. As long as you do not violate the life, liberty or property of another there can be nor justification for the use of government force to impose the will of another on your life. Libertarians believe that you own yourself. If you do not, then who/what does? Ernest Hancock “Freedom’s the Answer,… What’s the Question?” |

| Earnest Hancock back to give us his tired libertarian nonsense. Now that your boy Goyette is writing a book you come out of the woodwork making no sense as usual. Your party would all be living in trailers with dirt roads and no law enforcement. We already have that thinking in Apache Junction and Black Canyon City. Give it a break you have just about as much of a chance for office as William or Newcomb riding around on his bike. Do something else with your time. Maybe you and William can run on the same ticket as President and VP.

| I feel sorry for you Tonyd, you sound like a very bitter guy/woman. The man is entitled to his opinion and if you can't respect, then go away because you don't have an open mind. You are like Jack Harper who condemn Mr. Pedderson for something his son but not Mr. Bennett when his son sodomied our younger generation of men and got off with a slap on the list. This is the mind set of your kind thinking that you are better than the rest. I hate to have to tell you but you are not and I thank God that I am not like you.

| From Mr Hancock--- Individual morality is not a matter for a collective. As long as you do not violate the life, liberty or property of another there can be nor justification for the use of government force to impose the will of another on your life. --- Real quick, this looks great on paper, but is easily refuted as follows; Mr Hancock, have youever driven a car or truck on the streets or highways around Phoenix, AZ? Have you ever witnessed people who drive like total morons, who shouldn't be allowed the rights of life, liberty, and property, let alone the privelege to drive a car? I've got my children in my car and there are morons drinking and driving, speeding at excessive speeds, tailgating, swerving in and out of traffic. They prove on a daily basis that the Individual's morality is in fact a matter of the public's interest. The mass of people behave in a fashion that requires all manner of laws, rules and regulations to keep the the indivduals safer than they would be if left to the Free Market, less govt and rugged individualism. Without laws, and a social contract then what will keep the Average Moron from getting liquored up at happy hour and killing my daughter? He has "individual morality" on his side to do as he pleases, gawd dammit, in Ah-mare-eeka, this ain't Communist Russia. The Fedrule govmint can't tell you how to live right, Mr Hancock? |
