If your dinner hasn't had time to digest, I suggest you come back to read this later.
U.S. News: "Even though he doesn't like to admit it, Bush is privately giving considerable thought to his legacy. He tells friends he defines himself as 'an idealist about goals and a realist about means.' He wants to be remembered, says a senior adviser, as 'a champion of freedom abroad and ownership at home' -- freedom particularly in Iraq and ownership by everyday Americans of their houses, small
businesses, and personal accounts for education, healthcare, and retirement. Bush aims to leave behind a series of institutional changes, aides say, that cannot be easily 'unraveled' by his successors or future Congresses, such as massive tax cuts, the new prescription-drug benefit under Medicare, and a commitment to stable democracy in Iraq. . . .
"Saying it and doing it, however, are two very different things. Bush's effectiveness appears to be at its lowest ebb, with only about a third of voters approving of his job performance -- one of the worst ratings in presidential history. His reputation for competence has been battered, his image as a straight talker compromised."
Legacy?
What kind of legacy has he left Cindy Sheehan and 2454 other American mothers? What kind of home ownership has he left black Katrina survivors? What kind of pain-free life has he left those elderly who can't figure out how to get their prescriptions filled through Medicare? What kind of financial legacy has he left our children when he funds his tax cuts for wealthy Americans with deficits?
Legacy? I don't even like this rich, incompetent, little crybaby. I don't like what he's done to my country and to an office that deserves respect! Do you?

Digg It!

Ya know what? The folks in Oshkosh and Spokane don't relate at all. These folks even believe English is already the national langusge because it's all they hear every day.
Immigration and English? Do not be deceived. These are Republican button issues that the GOP wants to heat up - make'em hot button issues!
Why? Patriotism is a ticket back to Congress!
Yeah man, after five years of backing Bush and his failed policies, incumbent Republicans in the House and Senate need something they can relate to you, their constitutents.
