Sources close to the story tell me that allegations of election irregularities in Maricopa County by yellow journalist and faux investigator Greg Palast have opened up a pandora's box of questions surrounding conflicts of interest and publicly disclosed payments from the Maricopa County Democrat Party to KPHX 1480.  According to public filings, over the past several years the Maricopa Democrat party has funneled tens of thousands of dollars to KPHX for so called programming.  The problem with these payments is that Jeff Farias, a known Sheriff Arpaio hater and sworn enemy, has vowed to do everything in his power to elect Arpaio's opponent, Dan Saban.  Farias, who has accused Arpaio of corruption even though Arpaio has never been convicted or charged with any crime, is married to Maricopa County Elections insider Tami Patrick Farias.  Arpaio supporters rightly question the fairness of the wife of a sworn Arpaio enemy counting votes and influencing elections since she personally profits from Democrat party payments paid to 1480 and therefore, her husband! Jeff Farias attends and publicizes at no cost, pro-Saban gatherings that are intended to raise money for Saban's campaign and otherwise advance Saban's candidacy.  Jeff Farias is actively campaigning for Saban!  We all know that Saban has previously been defeated by Arpaio at the ballot box and in a neutral court of law.  Farias has every right to do this but given his open hatred of Arpaio and his history of leveling election fraud charges at other states (Ohio) this creates an obvious, toubling, no-brainer conflict of interest.  Sources tell me this obvious conflict of interest is the main focus of the numerous complaints.  Think about it, if a close friend or campaign operative of Arpaio had a spouse employed at the election office and that spouse was intimately involved in counting votes or had access to sensitive, confidential election data or had the opportunity to influence the actions of other employees all hell would break loose and more bogus charges of graft and corruption would be leveled at Arpaio.  Imagine the outrage if an Arpaio insider at the elections office benefitted financially from payments made by the Republican party?  Armageddon!   But this is the current conflict that now exists regarding Farias.  How do we know someone at the elections office won't do something harmful to Arpaio's candidacy just to curry favor with Tami Farias?  Let me reiterate, Sheriff Arpaio has never been charged or convicted of any crime yet he has been repeatedly accused of corruption by Jeff Farias.  Jeff Farias is also no stranger to allegations of election fraud and outright election theft.  If they can steal the election from Senator Kerry in Ohio as Farias has asserted multiple times,  then it's only logical they could steal the election from Arpaio in Maricopa County.  Jeff Farias has a financial interest given the small fortune flowing in to his station from Democrats and a personal interest given his  vindictive, unbridled hatred of Arpaio and his close association with Saban.  More to follow.
