Sheriff Tom Dart has refused to evict renters from their apartments; he considers it grossly unfair since these people had done nothing to deserve this action.
The owner of the building defaulted on his payments; Tom Dart being a human being, will not punish the residence for their landlords behavior.

When I was a small child I read a book...a book of what you all call "fables". From it I qoute loosely because it is in Arabic. It is the story of a little girl who did a small thing to become a hero.
"A hero has not the time to shout his name from the mountians because he is busy with spade in hand fighting to keep the weeds from choking the flowers. We are to save the world around us, this is what obedience to God means. In the darkest days the man who holds the lantern and calls your name instead of his own is a hero."
