I'm sure you have heard that the Russians are a little pissed we are going to shoot on of our own satellites out of the air. I have been waiting since the day I heard about it to see which one of the local conspiracy pushers would bring up the plan as laid out by the Russians. I am surprised a Russian beat one of you to it.
My theory was a little different. Since hearing of the number of people who could be affected by such a crashing bomb as the fuel tank on this thing, I figured we were taking advantage of its nearing reentry to bump it onto a course that would drop this baby right in the middle of Tehran.
I like the Russian theory more. We have been planning this since the launch to test our newest super ballistic weapon defense system. Wow. Bush never would have thought of that, he's too stupid remember..
Oh well, I hope it works and we hit the tank destroying the fuel.
That would work to both protect the planet and a possible land encounter with this deadly substance and show the Russians that, "Yep, we really can do that".
But what would I know; I'm just an Average American.

| First off, yes AA answer the question about America's greatest drug dealer, Ronnie Reagan. Second, my understanding of this plane-launched missile to destroy the satellite has no relevance to the Star Wars program. It's really more of an Air to Air missile, we know the precise coordinates of the satellite, we know its course, and we'll use the satellite's own transmitter to guide the missile. So unless we can convince the North Koreans, and Chinese to put transmitters on all of their ICBMs, and give us the frequencies, and the time and date of the attack, so we can put enough jets in the air armed with missiles... Heck, even if we could get 52 separate warnings to the pResident in his PDBs that an attack is imminent, do you really think we could pull this off? |

NOW, why dont you EXPLAIN it all to us with FACTS the need for selling cocaine to fund an illegal war and supply our ENEMIES with ARMS..... like your dear Raygun did..... And then tell us how it benefited the American citizen and not some coporate special interest...
You are still advocating a second secret government with NO accountability to elected Representatives of the United States to subvert the Constitution and the law, using off the book money.....just like the Raygun admin did while supplying arms to our 'enemies'. |

Yes, our enemis should be impressed with our ability to dock a spacecraft with a space station. They would be more impressed if we actually captured the man responsible for attacking US on 9/11 instead of INVADING and OCCUPYING a country to control its oil. 2351 days and Osama is STILL free....
