Here is my idea of conservative poetry:
THE OLD GRAY LADY/span>/span>
Arthur Sulzberger Jr. [NYT publisher], then a student, had gotten arrested in an demonstration.

/span> The Sixties antiwar protester, now
The New York Times newspaper publisher,
Asks how they dare besmirch his sacred cow.
"It’s All the News That’s Fit to Print. Yes sir."
This big commotion worries her investors,
Her stock has dropped in half, subscriptions for
Some libraries were canceled, and protesters
All shout, "Support the Troops" and "Win the War."
By printing classified war information
Her news helps terrorists evade detection.
New York will be the first strike in our nation.
She has a disdain for her own protection.
Treason? Insanity? Senility?
The Old Gray Lady, she ain’t what she used to be.
