I just want mention to something I read on CNN website this morning. Here's what they posted.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The U.S. military has charged two soldiers with assaulting detainees in Afghanistan, according to a news release issued Sunday.

The soldiers -- whose names were not released -- are accused of punching prisoners at a U.S. base in Oruzgan province in southern Afghanistan.

According to the military's statement, the soldiers "are accused of striking the detainees who were in their custody. The soldiers allegedly punched the detainees on the chest, shoulders and stomach."

Neither detainee needed medical help, the statement said.

This kind of thing happens all the time here in the U.S. Our police departments have more incidents of beatings, and uncalled-for deaths of our citizens.

Example: Sacramento 4 weeks ago police arrive at family residence and kill 24-year boy. Tasered him twice and beat him to death and no mention on CNN's website or station. These police thugs are back on the street again. Yet 6 of them on one boy, he tried to submit but in the heat of the moment they didn't care.

Prosecute these thugs and our streets will be safer. I know this because the boy they killed was my nephew.

These boys in our military are in a war zone. Unlike here, they truly are in danger of getting killed every time they go to the streets. So what if they have to slap around these insurgents. If it could save a few American lives, leave them alone. I'm sick of the media blowing these incidents out of proportion. I'm sure in the heat of the moment they had their reasons for what they did. As long as we are sending our kids into battle, don't put their reputations in jeopardy. After all, most don't want to be there.

If the press thinks they can handle these situations better let them put on a uniform and not hide behind their press cards. In other words, if you don't have anything worth while to put on your news channel, SHUT UP.
