Clinton lied to a grand jury and was impeached, But found not guilty in the senate. The real reason he was impeached was for sexual activity in the oval office! The fact was, the far religious right tried forcing their own brand of morals on us all, (as if they don't occasionally sin against their own GODS law). Here was a brilliant example of our governments first leanings toward theocracy, Not Democracy. This needs to stop now. We need to stop the spreading of this Theocracy and it's evil twin, Fascism. We need to stop Bush, he is their leader. With his constant (impeachable) lying (all on tape), Now add to this his psychopathic, class favoring, illegal spying on AMERICANS, and his unjust war built on only lies! Yet we have not begun the impeachment. WHY?

| Remeber the impeachment of Bill Clinton began in Jan of 1993. Every move he made was cause for an investigation, and they kept attacking Pres. Clinton until they succeeded in bringing him down. If Republican's put America before the GOP then maybe some of what they tried might work.

| Looks like another Bush - Clinton comparison topic. I don’t see how they could even come close to being compared to one another. Yes Clinton has a sexual activity while being president! Bush has taken the country to WAR on a “lie” – killed thousands of our servicemen and women, tens of thousands of Iraq civilians and moved our country into bankruptcy. When the country needed a scholar more then anything else, we got George. Who do you have to thank for this? Liars, criminals, and a political party that was taken over by them. The world will never be the same for it. And yes – the world did know that Clinton had a sexual encounter in the office, but no one was killed! |

| Mr. Altruism, As I read your thoughts I am left shaking my head. To claim the religious right as the driving force behind the political slugfest of the past impeachment proceedings is completely unfounded. President Clinton was wrong to act the way he acted. Adultery and lying have never been conducive to, or synomymous with, a well-functioning society. President Bush, like him or not, has not been officially implicated. I do respect your passionate belief of his wrongdoing. Even so, "Psychopathic" is probably not an adjective I'd choose... Let's see how this plays out in the next few years. One thing for sure, theocracy theory will always be far from the fray of any real political fight. The real fight in America will almost assuredly remain Democrat vs. Republican. Bryan |

| Bryan, another "penetrating" analysis from a sexually repressed Republican with a chronic fixation on other's passion. Vicarious titillation? And do you hear a rattling noise when you shake your head? "Next few years"? No, let's beautify the environment in '07, send a Bush back to Texas! |

| Personally, I like blowjobs. If I was President of the United States, I would be banging all the interns and getting blowjobs too. It's a perk of the trade. If Bush isn't taking advantage of it, then he's a moron. If I remember right, Clinton's approval rating sky rocketed when that stuff came to light, nobody gave a s*** that he got a blowjob, in fact, they praised him for it. The only attrocity of that whole situation is that he got busted with Monica... lmao I guess that's what got him his approval rating though, made all the horny old housewives think they had a shot. |

| Wrong to compare a president that did a great job overall with a president that will be remembered as "THE WORST PRESIDENT IN AMERICAN HISTORY". Do you know which one is which?

Clinton's sexual conquests were well-known long before he became a national figure. His impeachment was nothing more than a political mugging by the Republicans who hid behind the most conveniently appealing premise - Thou Shalt Not... have sex in the Oval Office?
The ringleader, Hyde, was subsequently driven from office for similar but even seamier sex with a partner who wasn't his wife, either.
I don't believe your theocracy angle holds up well any better on other issues - anti-abortion, prayer in schools, segregation through church-based schooling, faith-based initiatives, all the anti-gay stuff.
These are hypocritical sops tossed to the Religious Right for their votes in election years. These issues are touted by Republicans but the follow up is only as it's convenient on an opportunistic basis.
The Republican Party is all about winning and maintaining power and the PNAC agenda that establishes the USA as the bullying supreme being of the planet. Promises? Consensus? Debate? Political Platform? All instruments in an election toolbox.
