Ah yes, its that time of year again, the temp has dropped the breezes have begun and another Cardinals season has been so graciously flushed down the craper. Whats this you say, "its only the fifth game. Yes, yes it is and to many football teams this means they are just starting to gel as a team. Here in Arizona, it means the local travel agencies are booming because once again for the seventh year running (Seventeen Total) the Arizona Cardinals are making travel plans for the off season. You see this year was supposed to be different. New Uni's, New Q.B., promise of a new stadium, however that is where the fairy tale ends. We have seen this blue print year after year. The Card's go after some once great player in the last years of his storied career with the promise of glory and immortality if he can be "the one" that leads this team out of the desert and into the oasis known as the playoffs. Yet no man has been able to thus far. Sure Jake did it in 98' but that was luck, not talent. This team continues to shoot it self in the foot. Example, this year they hired a man who tried out for the teams' offensive line last year and did not make it. What position does he coach you say? That's right offensive line "hey it makes sense in Bidwell land". What kind of offensive coordinator calls a draw on 3rd and 7 when everyone and their mother knows Arizona has no running back? You where right once again. Arizona's Coordinator makes those calls, but its ok he's new. Bottom Line is this s*** is tired. We all need to boycott this organization after all we have supported them every single loosing year, hell we gave them a new stadium " deserved or not" and what have they done for us?

I couldn't agree more. The real shame is that Arizona fans get a bad rap as being apathetic. What's to root for, the Cardinals suck. I keep hoping that Arizonans will wise up to the Cardinals enough that they hit the road (too bad L.A. won't take them). But as long as revenue sharing rewards the Bidwells for screwing up, they will never get out of the NFL. Maybe Mexico City will take them back. Bill

Pure and simple the Arizona Cardinals have SUCKED, DO SUCK and WILL SUCK. The Bidwells are experts at fleecing folks no matter what city the wind up in. Shame of Phoenix for accepting this s***ty franchise and not waiting for a start up franchise, one that folks could grow with. Run the frigging BIDWELLS the hell out of Arizona.

I'm reading this article really late(2/7/06).I pretty much agree with a lot of what this article says except two areas.the comments about the quaterback and running back positions. In fact, the strength of this team is at QB,RB,and WR.Where the Cardinals need help at is in the ownership position. that's right.the bidwells must go.they have been in three cities(chicago,st.louis and phoenix)and the only tradition they have mustered has been that of being a persistent loser.so i put a offer on the table today.let's have in phoenix what they have in green bay.a team owned by the people.let the residents of this up and coming metropolis do the one thing that will change the game and history of this franchise.BUY THIS TEAM.that's right, lets put together a ownership group with a minimum fee of $50-$100 a piece and buy this team. And then we can really change the logo of this team by changing the name of the franchise,a name that reflects the identity of the southwest.contact me if interested.i am already in the process of contacting the league office.i got my money ready, and since i am a artist, i already have a new logo for the team i am ready to buy and empower with a winning attitude.contact me at: sedzona@yahoo.com
