I have been trying to think of some. Let' see.
1....?
2.....?
3.....?
I'm reminded of a story I heard in the 1950's. Mitch Miller the band leader was a star maker and would sponser various artists and get them on the radio and heard by DJ's and eventually stardom.
Mitch was sitting around with some of his cronies and made the statement that he could make anyone a star. One of the people sitting with him bet him that he could'nt make anyone a star without the young person having some talent. Mitch took that bet and the pre-requisites was that the young person couldn't sing (maybe just barely carry a tune) but must look the part. Basically that was the wage.
Mitch Miller found Fabien and the kid had a hit record and several tours and some movies but he really had no talent and couldn't really sing however Fabien became a star.
Well here it is in the 2000's and those that managed the Presidential Campaigns have taken an individual who had no qualifications, no successful endeavors in his life, was probably the most unqualified person in the world for the job and have placed him in the most powerful position on the planet.
I can't believe they (whover they are) got this dunce into the highest office of the country. It boggles the mind how naive the American people are sometimes. Some of them seem to think that picking a President is like picking an American Idol winner.
I guess what I'm saying is that GW Bush is the Fabien of politics but the consequences are so much greater than just creating a singer/entertainer.
