Here Bill O goes again. This morning while listening to Air America's Al Franken Show the authors of Sweet Jesus, I Hate Bill O'Reilly were on the air. This had to be one of the funniest shows yet. The clips of Bill O were outrageous. Sad to say this guy really believes all of his nonsense.

Here is the latest from Bill O'Reilly off the website sweet jesus I hate bill o'reilly.com;

April 12, 2006 - Lord, forgive them for they know not what they do.

And O'Reilly sayeth unto you: Although some left-wingers in the media deny it, we have documented a number of cases where Christian holidays like Christmas and Easter have been attacked by secular interests. Lawsuits and corporate policies have proved this point over and over again.

Will someone please explain to everyone at Fox News that the Easter Bunny is a secular symbol. It has nothing to do with the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In fact, the bunny only detracts from the miracle that is the basis of the Christian faith. The way O'Reilly and the kids over at Fox & Friends act, you'd think that Mary pushed that damn rabbit out right after Jesus.

But you’ve brought some intelligence back, despite the dearth of intelligence over there across no-man’s/woman’s land.

But I thought Santa's birthday was a sacred holiday season for the secular corporate conservative interests. Why would they... ?

I'm confused. Santa gives them the gift that keeps on giving year after year, their juiciest offering on the alter of greed. Why would those secular corporate interests attack the celebration of Santa’s birthday?

And what’s this about J.C. horning in on the Easter Bunny’s turf? What’s that got to do with celebrating the annual return of the Easter Bunny? Your statement that “…you'd think that Mary pushed that damn rabbit out right after Jesus” verges on the Sacrilegious, but it does raise the question: do Easter Bunnies come from decorated eggs? Now there’s a vision for you.

Now I can see why the secular corporate conservative interests might go after the Easter bunny. He hasn't produced on the bottom line nearly as grossly as has Santa. But they should give him time. He is growing by leaps and bounds, so to speak.

His birthday is bound to take its place along side of Santa's birthday before you can say “Bastardization of the meaning of Christianity in religious pursuit of FAT Greedy Profits”, or “Jesus, the money changers are in the temple again”.

O'Reilly and his kids over there at Fox & Friends needn't worry. Santa and the Easter Bunny are as American as Apple Computer, and St. Valentine's birthday is ramping up nicely as well. That’s is a Christian holiday, isn’t it?

Now, Thanksgiving is kind of a tough old turkey for the corporatists. But never fear, Billy O’, your corporatists are multitasking us into a seamless orgy of consumption from Turkey day through Xmas.

It shan’t be long before the carpet of fevered shopping stretches from Halloween through New Years day. Or even Valentine's day.

Ooh, the opportunities for worship at the alter of greed are virtually endless. All hail the tireless American consumer.

Sorry. I got a bit carried away, but I didn't want to throw all these nice letters away, so I published them.

Mr. O is a nut case. If the fox channel didn't exist he would on food stamps.
It's to bad the Christians use these idiot symbols to remind them of their holy days.

O'Reilly is often a parody of whackjobs. Unfortunately, there are many in society so unaccustomed to original thought that they appear to confuse entertainment with news.

Pew Research completed a survey of News Audiences a couple of years ago and concluded that "Fox ranks as the most trusted news source among Republicans but is among the least trusted by Democrats."

Furthermore, "the audiences for Rush Limbaugh's radio show and Bill O'Reilly's TV program remain overwhelmingly conservative and Republican. By contrast, audiences for some other news sources notably NPR, the NewsHour, and magazines like the New Yorker, the Atlantic and Harper's tilt liberal and Democratic, but not nearly to the same degree."

The Easter Bunny, like O'Reilly's purported work "under enemy fire", which Al Franken loves to replay, is the sort of stuff we read at VoA from those who seem incapable generating an original thought. O'Reilly and Rush's intent is to arm these know-nothings with enough outragous distractions to avoid any and all meaningful discussions.

They've succeeded all too well among Conservatives and Republicans, wouldn't you say?
