My country has spent over 1000 young men seriously wounded or dead in Afghanistan, and over 50,000 seriously wounded or dead in Iraq. We americans have been told that it is for our own protection and that they are keeping america safe by invading other countries and expending the lives of our young men and women. We are told that it is a just cause that our young men and women are dying and getting maimed for.

The leaders of this country have also told us that the invasion of Iraq would pay for itself financially with the oil revenues which, after billions of dollars spent has turned out to be a lie.

So this is what this country has spent. My question is: What have they (the invaders) accomplished? What do they hope to accomplish? What is a Victory? Whatever it is, can it be worth the price paid? Since Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and the rest of the cowardly war hawks are not paying the price I'm sure they would say yes. But is it worth the cost to me and my neighbors? Is it worth the cost to the mothers and fathers who have had to bury their children or see them come home with broken limbs or worse?

I for one think not and I would like for one supporter of these invasions to tell me exactly what we as a country have received in exchange for the price paid of these two invasions. (patiently waiting for the silence)
