Air America should be on the air. Yes, you heard right, I said it. Now I gave rover a rationing of crap for not coming up with an original topic and that was wrong of me. I do believe this subject should be discussed, and to rover, I appologize.
Air America can best be utilized by Conservatives as a wet finger test. When you are at war, and I am not talking about Iraq, Iran or Afganistan, you need to know what the other side is thinking. For years we conservatives have had an open window to peer through on the NBC, ABC, CBS and CNN nightly news programs. That window is beginning to darken. Not because they have changed their attitudes about things, but because Rush, Hannity and a slew of local hosts on the radio along with FOX news have pulled them and their ideologies out into the open.
Remember the Gremlins, light, water and eating after midnight were all no no's. Well, water and eating after midnight probably have little more effect on the liberal media than it does on conservative media, of which there is only one true conservative media outlet, admittedly that is FOX. All the others are just entertainers who have somehow struck a cord with a majority of Americans. However, light has some effect on them. As was proven with the memo debacle of Dan Rather and Mary Mapes, who's book I just finished. These people admittedly had a plan, a belief and a fever to get the story out no matter what it took. Lies, deceit, fabrication, shooty workmanship and a liberal bias drove these people into the light and proved once and for all they are nothing more than political hacks. The same might be said of FOX news, but at least I give them credit for trying to get both sides of a story and letting you decide.
This is where the importance of Air America comes in. For those of us who carry the true conservative banner, lower taxes, limited government, fiscal responsibility (hope I spelt it right this time), true choice of life for the unborn, and the true to god desire to help people up instead of handing it out, we need a place to come where the liberal message has not yet been watered down by corporate outrage, desires for ratings and advertising pressures. Here, in it's natural state, we can watch and learn what the enemy is doing, plotting and striving to acheive. The unbelievable hatred that spews forth from the mouths of Randy Roads, Al Frankin, theri guests and even the station's little quips about Rush's boil on his ass, all point to one thing, this is a party of division.
You can hear them rail against those who have worked hard, paid their taxes and done their part to employ thousands of Americans, you hear them side with the terrorists as they stack their decks to be the first to cheer in glee when America loses a battle, whether that battle is for the destruction of the Patriot Act (which we won) stopping taxes from being lowered for all tax paying Americans (which we won) for stopping liberal judges from legislating from the bench (which we won) or taking on topic like AIDS research in Africa (which we won) and keeping the economy clicking at an incredible pace (which our policies have continued to do even after 9/11, Katrina and the constant attempts to talk us into an dead housing market and recession).
Air America is the only place where we can observe liberalism in it's natural enviroment, well here and New York City where they are now asking the poor to pay for some of the luxuries the poor in that town enjoy like, washing machines, double freezers and parking spaces for their cars. Yes my friends (and enemies alike) I want Air America back on the air, and I want them to be successful. I want them to produce the best product they can, keep even those who disagree with them coming back for more.
Like a wise man once said, better to be thought an idiot, than to to open your mouth and prove it. This is what Air America's hosts do every day, they open that big liberal mouth.
But what would I know, I'm just an Average American who happens to be in the majority...

Well, what do you know, Average American?
Good morning. It is indeed a new day. Welcome aboard the majority express!
But I think you are still a little confused. “For those of us who carry the true conservative banner, lower taxes, limited government, fiscal responsibility (hope I spelt it right this time), true choice of life for the unborn, and the true to god desire to help people up instead of handing it out …”.
Lower taxes? For whom, may I ask? The Bush hobby war is off budget, currently, but guess who is going to have to be taxed into pauper hood to pay for it? It reminds me of the bumper stickers I’ve seen on the only-in-America mammoth rolling port-a-potties hogging our highways, to wit “We’re spending our children’s inheritance.”
Limited Government? How do you spell NSA? I’ve never before been afraid of my own government – never before the Bush Regime. The ill begotten Patriot Act has reached into areas of our private life that I had not even thought about before. And it has changed my behavior, not because I am unpatriotic (I’ve served more active duty time than Bush, Cheney, Rove, Rice, and a whole host of other NeoCoNazis lumped together), but because as an upstanding, tax-paying, voting loyal American without any criminal record whatsoever, I now distrust the intentions of my own government under this regime. Why is Michael Chertoff’s Homeland Security Department quietly spending $387 million with a Halliburton subsidiary to construct detention camps at secret locations across America to house up to several hundred thousand people for the undefined "rapid development of new programs?

Fiscal Responsibility? Come on AA.
o Pork ala Republican controlled government;
o a permanent state of war financed off budget by Japan, China and Great Britain;
o selling our ports and who knows what other “tangible assets” to pay off the promissory chits (U.S. Treasury notes) that the holders are beginning to mistrust;
o National debt ceiling now increased to 9 Trillion dollars so we can borrow more from Japan, China and Great Britain while we refuse to reinstate equitable taxes to pay our own way.
And that’s just for starters.
AA, as a card carrying Goldwater campaigner and two time Reagan supporter, I don’t see a True Conservative anywhere in this Government.
I supported Goldwater because the Democrats were out of control. I am now a Moderate, pushed to the left by those that bleat about being true conservatives while they are busy either betraying true Conservative principles, or lying about the betrayers for der Party. Republican Uber Alles!! I am now Democrat because the Republicans are out of control.
But first and foremost I am an American, and this bunch that has taken control of the Republican Party and our government are Anti-American. That should be crystal clear to the Average American.
But don’t get me started…
PS. god? Isn’t that supposed to be capitalized? A true Conservative would capitalize God.
