Why can I not comment? I get the message "The comment provided is empty".
What worked doesn't.

If I copy and paste from Word, I get this HTML conversion:

Why am I not able to post a comment? It tells me that "The comment provided is empty".

If I copy and paste from Word I get this:

Imus said this morning that there was talk of Air <country-region w:st="on"><place w:st="on">America</place></country-region> filing for bankruptcy.

If I run it through Notepad to strip the control characters, this is what I get:
Imus said this morning that there was talk of Air America filing for bankruptcy.

I've event tried entering it directly through the keyboard. Samo-samo.

In either case it tells me its an empty comment (no wise cracks please).
I have tried this message with the header line inserted at the top, and that did not work. I am out of ideas, but at the moment I have no comment - literally.
PS> I tried contacting the site through the Contact Us feature and cannot use that now. Spam security image does not show itself and the message is bounced without it.
PPS> MoronInCharge has been hugely successful in attaching a magnificant comment to Average American's article. I can't even post Notepad/Word text, to say nothing of color and fonts and ... What worked no longer works for me. I'm doing nothing different. What's going on here VofA?
Note: VofA's site certification has been expired for the last couple of weeks. I simply accept it and work around it. That might have a bearing on the spam issue.
Sorry about making this an article, but it is the only way I can communicate with the site at the moment (short of the telephone - how archaic is that?)

And yes MoronInCharge, I see your comment now attached to my article. That's easy for you to say, but I cannot comment on either my or Double A's articles.
