The U.S. lost more jobs than forecast in August and the unemployment rate climbed to a five- year high, heightening the risk that the economic slowdown will worsen.  

  

Payrolls fell by 84,000 in August, and revisions added another 58,000 to job losses for the prior two months, the Labor Department said today in Washington. The jobless rate jumped to 6.1 percent, matching the level of September 2003, from 5.7 percent the prior month.  

  

Workforce reductions at companies from UAL Corp. to Gannett Co. are adding to the woes of Americans hurt by lower home values, scarcer credit and higher prices.

The neocon’s trickle down theory is bankrupt.  It should be renamed trickle on (the vast majority of Americans), and flushed down history’s toilet hole.  

  

At the end of the Reagen/Bush41 reign, the country had just had a war and was in a deep recession.  The U-Hauls were crisscrossing the nation full of families packing all of their worldly possessions on their back and searching for a means of economic survival. 

  

Then came the Clinton years.  We all know what a HUGE success they were for all of us, and for America in the world. 

  

Then we stunned the world and cut our nose off to spite our face.  We somehow installed a snake oil salesman from the Bushes in our White House. 

 

OK.  Fool me once, shame on me.    

 

But then we did it again!!  Fool me twice, shame on me. 

 

And now here we are again, only much more so. 

 

As the rotten Bu$hite regime atrophys in place, the country is embroiled in costly wars and a deep recession.  The U-Hauls are firing up to crisscross the nation, full of families packing all of their worldly possessions on their back and searching for a means of economic survival. 

  

But never fear.  Be of good cheer.  Obama and Biden are here.  Let the next government of prosperity do it again.  The Clinton administration showed it can be done.  Let us take our lesson from it. 

  

And by all means, let us learn our lesson from the disappearing Bu$hite regime.  Lord preserve us from being shamed again!!!
