The title of this article is one of the most progressive phone numbers you will ever see. It is the Sheriff Joe Illegal Hot-line. Progressive because he is doing something, whatever little it might actually be, it is something new, different, progressive.
Have you called it? I have many times. Reporting every bit of illegal activity I see from these people who are here illegally. According to the phone message you are supposed to call it if you see illegal activity..."crimes involving illegal immigration or human smuggling". Well in my book, and any law book you look at, if they are here illegally they are involved in "illegal immigration" and committing a crime by being here.
I see then on the corner daily. Not just any corner, the corner of 43rd Ave and Camelback Rd. or the corner of McDowell and 75th Ave. These are just two of the hot spots around town where Sheriff Joe should be rounding up illegal aliens for immediate repatriation to their home country. Call it profiling, I don't care, but 38 Hispanic men standing at the entrance to the Home Depot are Illegal.
So, as I said, I called and I reported, left my number and encouraged a call back from a Deputy. But alas, I have heard nothing. The Illegal Activity continues and the numbers do not seem to be diminishing. I call weekly to remind Sheriff Joe of his promise to fight Illegal Immigration and have encouraged him repeatedly to not just get a phone line, place a message on it and ignore the problem. I want to see action. I want Channels 12, 15, 3 and 10 all over this. I want people in the streets crying to stop this and I want to see giant truckloads of Illegals leaving our fine state and our great country daily to go home.
This will not happen unless we absolutely swamp the phone line, fill the mail box and show Joe that we are behind him every step of the way.
Now don't start placing words in my mouth about what a racist I am and how I hate Brown skinned people. Nothing could be farther from the truth. What I hate is seeing our country slowly infiltrated by people who are here Illegally and have no intention of becoming citizens. People who come to America under the cover of darkness or in the blazing sun and teach their kids Spanish over English. These people are not here for the benefit of their families because if that was their true intention they would be going out of their way to ensure their children learned English so they could have a chance to succeed.
No these people are here to take money in the hopes of returning to Mexico one day and retire on American dollars in the poor as dirt country. If the roles were reversed and I had to flee to Mexico with my kids to find good work and give them a future the first thing I would do is force my kids to learn Spanish so they could find good work and become something. I would also do everything in my power to get them there legally so they would have the needed documentation to succeed as a citizen.
But these people are leaches, thieves of a sort, here to steal wealth and return it to their country of origin regardless of which one it is. Canadians are as bad as the Central Americans and Mexicans who do it. There is no difference.
I'm not happy with Joe's attempt to make good on his words. A phone line is a great start but what is happening after that. I still see a problem. If I wanted empty promises I could have voted for any idiot on the ballot. Joe has a reputation of thinking outside the box and making things happen. Where is the happenings.
We passed a law that will surely go the way of all the others we have passed dealing with everything from English Only in the classroom to those on the books now that are ignored by every other law enforcement organization in the state to stop the employment of these people. It doesn't matter. Judges tainted by Liberal Bulls*** organizations saying they are good people who have an economic need to be here will always side with the loudest screamer. That's not us folks. The illegals got hundreds of thousands to march last year downtown to cry for their "rights". Rights my ass.
I will continue to call the number weekly to report "Crimes Involving Illegal Immigration" until I can't afford my phone anymore or until I see a difference.
I've said it before and I'll say it again... There will be no change until blood runs over the boarder, either ours or theirs.
But what would I know; I'm just an Average American.

| Judges tainted by Liberal Bulls*** organizations saying they are good people who have an economic need to be here will always side with the loudest screamer. ??? So a Republotard Sheriff in the most conservative county in America, who is going along with the wealthy, elitist Chamber of Commerce and the Tourism and Hospitality industry, working with the construction/ growth industry to keep as many illegal aliens here working for illegal employers, and it is all the fault of Judges tainted by liberal bulls***? AA, Would you please consider that maybe what Brucie Jacobs and Sean Hannity and El Limpo tell you is not the truth, and may be 180 degrees opposite from reality. And that maybe just maybe we need federal law enforcement agents to begin hitting job sites and arresting illegal aliens and handing out fines to employers. They used to do that back in the 90'2. It is why legitimate businessmen flourished, and crooks and liars and Republicans groused about overzealous law enforcement and too much regulations. Crooks always hate regulations and paperwork, that is what lands their butts in jail. |

| Hey, what is the number I can call to report a white guy in a Tahoe speeding down the 101? AA, how do you reconcile your hatred for the speeding camera's with this phone number? I know you say "facing your accuser." Ok, if these 35 "illegals" (assumption) are arrested, are you going to appear in court so they can face you? What harm have the caused you directly? |

| When the laws are passed it's just because were too ignorant and the annointed democrats know better. Perhaps Sheriff Joe can show up for William and Lenny's petition drive and round them up with the "brown" people. |

| Well, Posty, considering what Sheriff Joe and Herr Thomas did to the New Times guys, that is entirely possible.

| Phaedrus... We are not 180 on this one, you and I. I fully support employer sanctions as do you. I just want the Sheriff to do what he says he is going to do, but I don't see it. Indie, They did the same thing to me that they did to you, trespassed on your land. And come on, you really think it is a huge assumption to believe the 35 plus guys at Home Depot are illegal? Postman, you are right. What we vote for is not what is best so let's turn that damn smoking ban over...lol Of course they won't because a bunch of liberal pukes wanted it passed. But to hell with us for just about any other thing we pass by the peoples vote. TO hell with property owner rights. Liberal worry about Bush listening in on their pathetic conversations with mom while right in front of their eyes they themselves vote to end property rights of business owners and strip them of a major layer of their rights. |

| hypocrite, 'liberal' pukes? Funny, how all this happens while you are still replaying the Rep/Dem sports team scenario. Big surprise...... You have been all to happy to give up rights in your panty wetting fear of Muslems. Probably cause? The loss of rights rarely comes from a vaccum, it comes from a steady stream of CONSENT.
And just what MAJOR layer of rights have been stripped from property owners? Smoking laws are smoking laws, violators should per prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. And I believe everyone should wear googles from birth to protect their eyes. Too many people make bad choices and lose an eye.
That's the power of Democracy, the same Democracy you want to spred to the middle east isn't it? |

| AA, I have three problems with this whole Sheriff Joe phone line: 1. It is setting up a profiling issue. You have stated that if you see a number of Hispanics standing around that you will call it in. Did you talk to these people to determine that they were illegals? Define the actions that you deem as illegal. Last I knew, standing on a corner is not illegal. 2. Whether we like it or not, immigration is still a Federal issue! I agree with Phaedrus that the Federal Government needs to step up and get more immigration officers to take care of this. Why are we adding more work onto a law enforcement agency that has more than enough to do? 3. This is still, whether we like it or not, another P.R. stunt by Sheriff Joe. He is the master at getting attention! You point it out that if you make a phone call to report an illegal activity that you get no call back. I have heard that from other people as well. I think that this program has a very shiny appearance with not a whole lot of structure behind it. One other thing that bugs me about this "Home Depot" being a hiring zone for Hispanics is that the same people who support Sheriff Joe in his elections are some of the same people hiring these people to do work. I have a Home Depot in my neighborhood. My son and I have a little restaurant that we like to get breakfast at. We see many Hispanics standing around looking for work on these Saturday mornings. What has caught my eye are the number of retirees that stop by to hire some of these people. I live in the NW Valley so I have a great number of retirees in the area. Aren't these the base of Sheriff Joe's electorate? |

| Again with the smoking thing! Jeezzzzzzzz. So again AA, the people who voted for the smoking ban didn't vote based on party or idealogical leanings. They based it on personal preference. They didn't want to be in bars where smoking was allowed. It is as simple as that. By the way, how many bars have gone out of business directly related to the ban? I am curious because I haven't seen any news stories about it (in Arizona anyway). |
