Sorry to bother you all with a local Arizina issue, but this is the Voice of Arizona so I thought I might touch on it again.

Your Governor is again playing politics with our states finances. She has decided to side step the newest version of the ELL proposal that Congress sent her. After fines of more than $22,000,000.00 she is has choosen to allow the latest proposal to become law without her signature. She claims the bill still does not spend enough on ELL programs and might have constitutional issues.

My question is one of leadership. If you really think that Janet, why not just veto it. but you'd rather play a game and roll the dice on a Federal District Judge make the call for you. This state needs a Governor with a spine, not a disire for game playing because she thinks it might get her a VP nod from one of the many Democratic Presidential hopefuls.

Sign the bill or veto. If you veto it, tell us why you are vetoing it. Stop playing with the congress and be a leader. Congress has made four attempts now in good faith to give you what the Feds are demanding, any one of which would have sufficed the legal requirements handed down.  But our Governor wants to continue to waiste the $1 billion dollar surplus that we have in this state on stupid political gamesmanship.

Shame on you Janet for doing so. Instead of doing her job, she continues to push for all day kindergarden, claiming that the educational benefits would cover the cost in the long run, even though a study resently came out proving beyond doubt that any headstart it might actually give a child is negated by the third grade. This is just a way for her to push her own her own agenda.

Just like her border patrol proposal that she signed into action. There will be no action becasue the money is not there for it. Politics again Janet. By saying you are interested, then laying up the ball to Congress, you have again lost focus on the very real need to control our border. Your proposal is hollow, with an unspecified number sof guardsmen place in unspecified locations. This is just another pathetic attempt to get some national coverage for yourself, not really spotlighting the real problem.

No different than the Squaw Peak Freeway getting renamed for a fallen soldier. You knew damn well that there are laws for the naming of freeways and that a group of locals had been waiting the 5 years that are requiired before proposing that the Squaw Peak Freeway be renamed the Barry Goldwater Freeway. But you saw a chance to get your name in the papers and waived the required 5 years after death clause so you could simply deny a Republican the name. Although I respect the soldier and her family, this was pure unadulterated politics on you part Janet, and a disgrace to all those who actually operate within the laws of our great state.

Again you have let down both your state and those who voted for you. You are the biggest failure this state has ever seen when it comes to leadership, but the left handed Arizona Republic won't run the truth about your shabby leadership. Well I will.

But what would I know, I'm just and Avergae Arizonan American.
